Abstract

750,837. Dispensing liquids by vapour pressure. VALVE CORPORATION OF AMERICA. Feb. 10, 1954 [Nov. 20, 1953], No. 3949/54. Class 102(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A discharge valve for an aerosol dispenser, comprises a two-part sheet metal housing 13, 14, sealingly mounted on the dispenser cover 22, and a tubular piston valve member 24 closed at its lower end and formed with a flange 25 and an inlet orifice 35. A spring 27 urges the valve member upwardly so that the orifice is closed by an annular rubber or polythene disc 15 sealingly fitting the housing and the valve member. Depression of a fingerpiece 36 opens the orifice and liquid in a fine spray is dispensed through an orifice 41 in the finger-piece 36.
