Abstract

761,007. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. GALEAZZI, F. July 23, 1954 [July 24, 1953], No. 21657/54. Class 102(2) [Also in Group XXIX] A spraying device adapted to be fitted to the neck 2 of a vessel 1 the contents of which in either liquid or powder form are dispensed under the pressure of a volatile liquid also within the container comprises a cover 7 fitted with one or more nozzles 16 and screwed to the neck 2, a stop valve 8 operated by a spring-loaded push button 9 which projects from the cover through a cavity 18 in the cover, and a removable safety cap 19 slidably mounted in the cavity 18 and enclosing the push button 9 so as to prevent unintentional operation thereof. The top of the neck 2 is surrounded by a member 4 formed with a cup 5 to which the usual syphon tube 6 is fitted. The base of the cup 5 has a bulbous extension 5a forming a sealing disc which is perforated by a spike 8a when the valve is first operated. The cover 7 holds in place a valve seat member or gasket 11, a shaped spacer member 12 and a sealing diaphragm 17.
