Abstract

1099695 Spray-producers SOC ANON SOCIETE TECHNIQUE DE PULVERISATION 15 April 1965 [20 April 1964] 16138/65 Headings F1A A1C1 A3F1A A4L A4M A4Q A4S2 A4S7 and A4U A spray head 1 mounted on a liquid container A comprises a nozzle 13 provided with means for producing a whirling spray and controlled by a non-return ball valve 14, a push-button 7 adapted to be depressed against the bias of a spring 9 so as to open a valve 6 and lower it within a pump chamber 2, and passages 18-21 providing a communication between the atmosphere and the container interior, said communication being controlled by a spring-loaded ball valve 23. On spraying the reduction of the volume of liquid in the container A causes a partial vacuum which results in the ball 23 leaving its seating so as to admit an equal volume of air into the container. The lower end of the pump chamber 2 is controlled by a ball valve 4. In the embodiment of Fig. 2 (not shown) a packing (26) is provided between the button 7 and the head 1 so that depression of the button causes air to be forced more efficiently into the container.
