Abstract
358,588. Panel work. RAXWORTHY, R. E. and POTTER RAX GATE CO., Ltd., Wilton Works, Shepperton Road, Islington, London. Oct. 7, 1930, No. 12051. [Class 20 (iv).] Lift cages formed of panelwork construction comprising hollow drawn metal sections and connecting sheets have the parts connected together by cover strips and sections of corresponding width, and screws passing through these parts into blocks. The cage is formed of a framework of tubular metal sections 2 to which the panel sheets 6 are secured by cover strips 10 and screws 11. The sheets 6, Fig. 3, are gripped between the cover strips 10 and tubular sections 2 by means of screws 11 screwed into blocks 7. The cover strips and sections are right-angled at the corners. The roof has right-angled flanges bolted to horizontal sections at the sides. The flooring has an angled frame to which cover strips are secured, the strips being also secured to the floor.
