Abstract

358,397. Chimney tops. SERGENT, W., 1, Railway Street, Newport, Monmouthshire. Feb. 16, 1931, No. 4787. [Class 25.] A chimney pot of rectangular cross section is provided with partitions extending inwardly and upwardly from two opposite corners forming receptacles having outlets of restricted area in their bases. As shown the pot is provided with three partitions b, c, d sloping upwardly at an angle of about 60‹, two from one corner and the intermediate one from the opposite corner. The inner edges b<1>, c<1>, d<1> end in a vertical plane passing through the axis of the pot. The openings a4, as, a<6> serve as outlets for downdraught, rain water, dust, &c. In a modification only two partitions are provided, these being at opposite corners.
