[Classes 122 (i) and 122 (v).] Piston packing rings 6 of the type disposed in the cylinder wall are carried in casing rings d secured between the sections a, b, c of a three-part cylinder liner, only the middle section b of which supports the piston 1. The rings may be of bronze and the piston of chrome nickel steel.
