[Class 122 (v)] A rubber packing-ring for pis ton rods of brake cylinders comprises a cylindrical portion 1 of reduced section connected by out wardly flaring walls 4 to flanges 2, 3. The walls 4 may be recessed at 6, 7 to provide the minimum thickness at these points. The internal diameter of the cylindrical portion is preferably less than the diameter of the piston rod.
