Abstract

356,499. Cycle weather - shields. EDMONDSON, J., 58, Tithebarn Road, Southport, Lancashire. Sept. 22, 1930, No. 28225. [Class 136 (i).] A weather-shield for protecting the legs &c. of motor-cycle pillion riders is carried by supporting arms on the cycle frame and is adapted to be folded up, when not in use, to occupy a position below the level of the driver's saddle. As shown in front elevation, the supporting arms on either side comprise a member a, which is adjustably secured by a clip b to the cycle frame member c behind the driver's saddle and is provided with pivoted arms d adapted to be folded on to the member a. The fabric f of the shield is detachably secured to the members a, d by snap &c. fastenings e. When the shield is not required, the fabric f may be folded around the folded-up supporting arms a, d, or it may be detached and secured in a roll behind the pillion seat.
