Abstract

346,864. Sprinkling stoppers. BECKER, K., 14, K÷rnerweg, Loschwitz, Dresden, Germany. Jan. 23, 1930, No. 2447. [Class 125 (iii).] Relates to sprinkling closures for bottles. According to the invention a cap 7 co-operates with a bottle neck having upstanding projections 1 and an interrupted horizontal channel 3 in which projections 8 slidably engage. A resilient packing disc 6 is interposed between the cap and the bottle and is prevented from rotating by the projection 1, Vertical channels 2 facilitate the engagement of the projections 8 in the channel 3. Projections 4, 5 limit the movement of the cap. The upper face of the projections 4 are oblique while the lower faces thereof are horizontal. An upwardly extending annular rim surrounds the opening in the bottle neck. In a modification the vertical channels 2 are separated from the channel 3 by a projection having oblique sides to facilitate disengagement of the cap from the bottle. The cap is rotated to make the sprinkling hole 9 register with the hole 10 in the disc or to close the hole as required.
