Abstract

521,237. Stoppers for bottles. GRAEBENER, R. June 25, 1938, No. 18888. [Classes 125 (i) and 125 (iii)] A sprinkling or dropping closure for a bottle or like container has a conical nozzle f with a tine bore and also provided with an annular channel g which serves as a drip catcher. The closure is screwed on to the bottle neck and a packing ring d is placed in a recess to form a tight joint at the mouth of the bottle. The nozzle f has a groove i which conducts any drips from the mouth to the channel g. The stopper may screw inside the bottle neck, or may screw into a cork in the neck. In a modification the mouth of the nozzle is countersunk as shown in Fig. 7 and a cap is arranged to screw on the nozzle. A passage r between the groove i and the nozzle bore conducts drips from the groove into the main bore.
