[Class 126.] In a combination range having an oven above the fire and adapted to be set in a chimney recess, the horizontal main transverse members a, a<1>, a<2> are separately set into grooves formed in the brickwork at the sides, or at the sides and back, of the recess. Flanges a<5> may be provided on the members a, a<1>, a<2> to form a space to receive mortar or other luting. The stove is so designed that the horizontal members are at suitable levels to engage between the courses of the brickwork. The front or face-plate h is held in place bv a strap n pivoted to its rear face and secured by spikes to the walls of the recess. The oven f<2> is withdrawable from the front, and is held in position by a nut engaging a stud n<5> on the strap. The member / forming the base of the oven-receiving chamber has a moulded front edge f<3>, and is slid into position through a slot in the front plate h. Two side members el forming hob plates have front portions projecting in front of the plate h. The grate o<2> is supported on shoulders formed on fire-bricks o.
