Abstract

271,240. Hodgson, H. W. May 13, 1926. Linings of gas and like ovens consist of two side plates 1 the rear vertical edegs of which interlock with the edges of a back plate 2, whilst their front edges engage freely behind fixed parts or flanges 5 of the oven, the back plate also being held by a lug, bolt, or the like which supports the lower edge. In the construction shown, the front edges 4 of the side plates are inturned to engage the flanges 5, and their rear edges are notched at top and bottom and also inturned to form flanges 7, 8, between which the edges of the back plate are held. In an alternative arrangement, the rear plate bears on the front of inturned flanges on the side plates, and is held by the usual lugs on the oven.
