435,944. Cooking-ranges. SMITH & SONS, Ltd., S., and SMITH, S., Beehive Foundry, Smethwick, Staffordshire. July 10, 1934, No. 20230. [Class 126] In a cooking- range having a grate 5 behind which is an upwardly extending main flue 7, and at the side of which is an oven 6 provided with the usual flue extending around or partially around it and over its top, the upper side of this flue forming a hob or hot-plate 11, the main flue is enlarged in width somewhat so that it extends over one rear corner of the oven, and an uptake for the oven flue is constructed in the form of an upwardly extending tubular passage 12 disposed within the side of the main flue. For this purpose the extension of the main flue is divided off from the rest of that flue by a partition 13. The partition 13 has a removable door to permit access to the passage 12 and oven flue. The canopy 15 is removable.
