Convention date, Aug. 9, 1929. [Class 64 (i).] a In a power installation such as used in ship propulsion comprising a condensing engine 1 which drives an electric generator 5 connected to one or more electric motors 6 which drive propellers 7, the electric motors are provided with rheostats 8 which are cooled bv the engine condensate to recover the heat dissipated in the rheostat. The heated condensate passes by pipe 11 to a feed and filter tank 12. A pump 13 delivers the liquid to the boiler system. A heater 15 supplied from an intermediate, turbine stage may be arranged in the feed-line. A conduit 18 may supply heating- elastic fluid.
