Abstract
343,880. Bed-settees. BRECKMAN,. S., 80, Shoot Up Hill, Brondesbury, and BRECKMAN, J., 52, Hanover Gate Mansions, Regents Park, both in London. Oct. 24, 1929, No. 32386. [Class 52 (ii).] A convertible bed-settee has a back guided to move bodily upwards while facing the same way as when in the normal position and to be dropped down, still facing the same wav, into a vertical position in contact with or close to the front side of the back of the frame. The drawings show the back 2 supported on bars 1 carried by links 3, 4 pivoted, at 6, to a link 5. The pivots 6 engage slots 7 having small branch slots 10. A spring 12 may be provided, acting up an arm 13 of the link 4 and helping to raise the back. The normal position of the back is shown in Fig. 1 at A, the intermediate raised position at B, and the lowered position at C.
