Abstract

343,544. Loud-speakers. GRAU, C., 4, Wilhelmstrasse, Friedrichshagen, Berlin. Nov. 15, 1929, No. 34991. [Class 40 (iv).] An electromagnetic actuating unit for loudspeakers comprises a bar armature 4 of uniform section throughout which passes through a speech coil 8 and is supported at one end on a flat spring 5 whilst its free end swings in front of the dissimilar poles 1, 2 of a magnet 3 in such a manner that the end of the armature does not appreciably overlap the air gap between the poles. The spring 5 is mounted on a transverse member 6 which can be displaced by means of he adjusting device 7, 7<1> so as to bring the armature as near as possible to the front surfaces of the pole shoes 1, 2.
