Abstract

In making iron-titanium alloys by a thermoaluminic process, there is added to the usual reaction mixture of aluminium and titanium iron ore a mixture of aluminium and another meta oxide, such as of manganese, richer in oxygen than iron oxide, the manganese or like metal forming also an improving addition to the metal bath. Specification 333,816, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], is referred to.
