Abstract

342,803. Loom change-box motions. FARNWORTH, T., Orient Mills, Brandwood Street, Bolton. Nov. 15, 1929, No. 34892. [Class 142 (iii).] A change box to replace an ordinary single shuttle box comprises two or more cells a, a<1>, preferably of sheet metal, mounted on levers c, c<1> which straddle the slay and are pivoted at f below it. One bracket c carries a roller v engaging a fixed cam w which causes the change-box to slide endwise so that the shuttle will clear the picker when another cell is being brought into line with the beam. The rod 5 for operating the box has collars fixed to it between which are sliding sleeves 9 and a spring 8. The shoulders 9a of the sleeves engage the lugs 6b, 6c of the operating link 6.
