Abstract

342,439. Dust collectors. DAVIS, A. E., Knockhall Lodge, Greenhithe, Kent. Nov. 30, 1929, No. 36739. [Class 8 (ii).] A dust-laden gas stream passes between parallel plates 8 of an inverted V-shape in cross section and provided at their ends with downwardly directed portions between which and the adjacent plates longitudinal slots are left through which the deposited dust falls into hoppers 7f. In a modification, Fig. 5, the plates rest at their lower edges on members 8b having downwardly directed portions bolted to the uprights, the distance between the plates being adjustable. Baffles may control the gas stream at the inlet or outlet.
