341,739. Spring upholstery. HOLLAND, P. and HOLLAND, H., Britannia Mills, Bugsworth, Derbyshire. Feb. 8, 1930, No. 4288. [Class 52 (iv).] Sinuous, upwardly arched bent wire springs 6 are secured to a panel of wire mesh-work, preferably provided with a wire frame 7, and are mounted on a supporting frame 9 to form a seat or seat back. A layer of felt 8 is positioned between the springs and the mesh and the latter may be covered with a layer of padding. The deformation of the free edges of the wire mesh panel may be limited or prevented by shaped supporting blocks 11 on the frame and the fixed edges are secured by staples 10 or underneath undercut fixing, strips.
