Class 52(4) A vehicle seat having a main frame 1 supported on members 2, 3, 4 has a tension spring 10 extending between uprights 5, 6 and brackets 7, 8 pivotally supporting a U-shaped frame 9, sinuous springs 14, 15 extending across the areas of the seat and back frames, adjacent springs being interconnected by clips 16 and the edge springs to tension spring 10 by clips 21. Further springs 28 are secured to outer springs 15a and to brackets 29 and the forward ends of springs 15 are secured to frame 9 at 27 and to the main frame at 26 so that frame 9 can be resiliently displaced.
