Abstract

200,513. Parsons, C. S., (Assignee of Miller, D. E.). July 4, 1922, [Convention date]. Spring surfaces for vehicle seats. A spring vehicle seat comprises an intermediate frame 2 hinged at opposite edges 3, 4 to the front edge of an upper frame 1 and rear edge of a lower frame 5. Helical springs 7 are placed directly beneath the upholstered seat portion 8 and the base frame 5, and further helical springs 12 are preferably placed as shown. The front, back, and sides of the seat are covered in by upholstery material 13. The intermediate frame 2 is either a skeleton frame or is so perforated as not to interfere with the springs 7.
