Abstract

482,178. Vehicle seats. JUDD, E. May 1, 1937, No. 12475. [Class 52 (ii)] A child's seat adapted to be removably attached to the seat squab of a vehicle comprises a chair hingedly secured to a base member 4, 5 having adjusting means by which the seat may be inclined relatively to the inclination of the seat squab. The chair, comprising legs 2, seat, back, and tray 14, is hinged to brackets 3 on a frame 4. The lower frame 5 is hinged to the frame 4 at 6, and the angle between the frames is adjusted by means of screwed posts 7 and nuts 8. The frame 4 may be a U-shaped tube with a cross piece 10, and the frame 5 may be covered with fabric or leather. A strap 15 serves to secure the base member to the seat squab. Springs located around the posts 7 may be used to support the upper frame 5 and the chair.
