Abstract

218,183. Clark, W. G. Nov. 19, 1923. Spring surfaces.- A seat provided with a removable inflatable air bag beneath a fixed seat covering, is constructed with a flat open underframe with its underside covered by spaced slats to support the air bag. The padding covering 5, over the 4 and tapestry air bag 3, are permanently secured around the edges of the underframe, the lower side of which is covered by a sheet of canvas 12 strengthened by slats 13 screwed to the frame.
