341,690. Detachable rims. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO., 1144, East Market Street, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Woodward, A. W. ; 696, Thayer Street, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.) Dec. 24, 1929, No. 39498. Convention date, April 8. [Class 144 (ii).] The rims of dual tyre assemblies are spaced apart by a split member the ends of which are adjustably connected by a link. The felloe has a cylindrical portion 13, an inclined portion 14 and an enlarged portion 15 into which are threaded bolts carrying wedging lugs 33. Each rim comprises a main portion 17 with an inwardly-inclined portion terminating in an outwardly-extending flange 18 abutting against the spacing member 19, the ends of which are connected by a link 22. The link is pivoted to one end of the split spacing member, and carries, at its other end, a pin engaging a curved or angular slot 25 in the spacing member. By manipulation of the link, the spacing member may be allowed to expand to facilitate removal of the inner rim.
