Abstract

239,246. Zipper, W. April 14, 1924, [Convention date]. Tyre attachments to rims. - The fixed part a of a wheel felloe is made integral with a disc wheel c, the detachable felloe part b being formed with an annular flange f adapted to lie in a recess in the disc c. Spaced open hooks h, fitted to the part b, extend through openings i in the disc, to grip a steel ring j, the ends of which are connected by curved links w, Fig. 3, to a locking disc t. The pin u of the disc t has a projecting squared part for a box-key by which the ring diameter is varied for releasing or engaging the hooks. To give uniform movement, the ring j is formed with a kink j<1>, and U-stirrups x prevent the ring from lifting from the wheel.
