341,126. Belt tensioning and guiding arrangements for spinning-spindles. JOLLY, J., Overdale, Wigan Road, Deane, Bolton. Oct. 18, 1929, No. 31650. Addition to 304,954, [Class 120 (ii), Spinning, twisting, &c.]. [Class 120 (ii).] A ring spinning-frame of the type referred to in the parent Specification has a twoarmed bracket for each driving-band fixed to a stationary shaft C extending from end to end of the frame vertically above the central axis of the tin roller D ; both arms e<2> of the bracket are of equal length with a guide or tension pulley pivotally suspended therefrom. This arrangement is applicable to a frame with a stationary spindle rail and a rising and falling ring rail. In the form shown, an additional bracket F swivels on the end of each arm e2 by means of two claws f fitting over pins e<4> projecting from cylindrical heads on the ends of the arms e2. The pulleys B rotate between forks G terminating in domed ends g fitting into partially spherical recesses in the brackets F, and each fork G is adjustable in position by a screw passing through a slot in the bracket F. As shown in dotted lines, the outer ends of these brackets may be weighted. The dimensions are such that the tops of the pulleys align with the wharls of the spindles a.
