Abstract

340,339. Shock-absorbers. MORRIS COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., HAMILL, W. W., and EDWARDS, C. K., Foundry Lane Works, Soho, Birmingham. Oct. 5, 1929, No. 30215. [Class 108 (iii).] With the object of damping vertical movements of a vehicle axle relatively to the frame and also rotary movements resulting from driving and braking forces, the damping device g attached to the frame h is operated by an arm i and vertical link connected to a horizontal arm a rigidly fixed to the axle b, the point of connection being a substantial distance away from the axis of the axle. The arm a may be secured to the axle by the spring connecting bolts c. The link j and arm i may have a series of holes in any one of which the link pin may be inserted.
