Abstract

432,291. Vehicle spring-suspensions. KENNETT, G. J., Alde House, Stoke-by- Nayland, Colchester. March 7, 1934, No. 7240. [Class 108 (ii)] In a two-wheeled trailer the body has two longitudinally-disposed members secured to each side within the depth of the body, vertical guide rods secured to said members and a base member having a stub axle resiliently mounted to slide vertically on such guide rods. Each wheel is mounted on a stub axle 5 carried by a base member 4 having bushed holes 7 whereby it is guided vertically on rods 8 under the control of upper and lower springs 14, 15 of different lengths as shown. The rods 8 are secured to the side frame members 9, 10 of the body in such a position that the stub axles are situated above the body floor. The base member may be in the form of a casting which is recessed between upper and lower webs.
