Detachable stoppers secured by clamping devices; sealing devices for stoppers.-A safety band for lever operated closures for bottle &c. has a tongue L which engages in a loop in the lever A when the band is in position. The central part of the band i is curved upwards and engages on the underside of the cross-bar b of the lever A. In a modification the tongue L is opposite a small cross-piece which passes under the lever A. In a further modification the tongue is on the upper side of the band and is bent over the loop of the lever, while the band is recessed to accomodate the lever The band is secured by eyelets e, e<1>.
