Abstract

337,649. May, O. Dec. 9, 1929. Stoppers hinged at one side.-A can &c. provided with a hinged cover with closing means at one end of a bar attached to the cover of the toggle type, is formed with a device for preventing accidental opening by locking a member of the toggle to the bar. The toggle consists of a lever l pivoted to the bar i at n and a hook l<1> adapted to engage a member m on the container. The lever l is provided with a depending pin p, slotted at q to accommodate a bent portion of a spring r. The spring may be released by pressing a button s attached thereto which projects through the side of the bar.
