Abstract

207,699. Paton, Sir J. W. Nov. 29, 1922. Fittings, internal.-A box for a corked or stoppered bottle is provided with a band 5 of elastic or non-elastic material which is secured at both ends to the top of the box and which, when the bottle 7 is placed within the box, is raised and stretched across the cork or stopper 8. The band may be in two halves, the free ends being connected together over the cork by a press fastener or hooks or by tying them together. More than one band may be used. In a modification, an elastic band is secured at one end to the top of the box and is provided at its free end with a hook &c. adapted to be secured to the inside of the lid.
