Abstract
339,209. Voglsamer, P. March 1, 1929, [Convention date]. Fixed-chamber apparatus.-An air-chest 19 adjacent to the measuring chamber 5 is in permanent communication with the liquid supply passage 1 by way of a passage 22 in the housing of the three-way valve 2. A valve 16 coaxial with or coupled to the valve 2 permits air to pass from the chamber 5 during the filling thereof by way of the float valve 13 and pipes 15, 18 to the atmosphere, while compressed air entering by the conduit 17 assists in discharging the chamber 5 through the pipe 7 and spraying nozzle 8. The housing of the valve 2 is angularly adjustable on its seating 21, an annular passage 23 preserving a through connection from the supply conduit 1 to the air chest 19. The volume measured may be adjusted by the hand-wheel 9 and piston 3. Two measuring cylinders may be connected for alternate actuation.
