674,138. Casting concrete conduits in situ. SOC. INTERNATIONALE DES MISE EN VALEUR ET DE DEVELOPPEMENT DES BREVETS (S.I.M.B.). Sept. 29, 1949 [Oct. 2, 1948], No. 25073/49. Class 20(ii). A moulding pipe A by which a conduit C may be cast in situ in concrete is of yielding material and is filled with liquid prior to each casting operation. After the concrete has set the liquid is sucked or forced out, and the pressure in the latter case reduced to atmospheric pressure, and the pipe A withdrawn. To prevent collapse of the pipe a coiled spring B or a flexible, longitudinally deformable perforated pipe is placed inside, the ends being connected to stoppers H, L, which close the ends of the pipe A and to which valve liquid supply and exhaust connections E, F may be attached.
