568,245. Delivering measured volumes of liquid. BALMFORTH, J. L., and BALMFORTH, J. C. Nov. 27, 1943, No. 17717. [Class 106 (v)] Measured quantities of oil are supplied to a portable measuring vessel from a drum, and discharged from the vessel, by air pressure. The usual service drum 1 is fitted with a plug 2 through which passes an air pipe 3 and an oil pipe 4. The pipe 4 and a branch air pipe 3a are connected by hose pipes 3b, 4b to the measuring vessel 5, cocks 15 and 16 being provided. The nozzle 11 of the vessel may be fitted with a non-return valve.
