Abstract

614,963. Liquid meters. MERRYWEATHER. & SONS, Ltd., STUBINGTON, R. E., and MILLER, L. C. July 17, 1946, No. 21365. [Class 69 (i)] [Also in Group XXI] Apparatus for measuring the flow of water from hydrants comprises a two-piece fitting, one piece A carrying a pressure gauge and the other piece B carrying a flow gauge, the gauges being of known types. The two pieces A, B are detachably connected together either directly or by a length of hose. The piece B is situated remote from the hydrant, the flow gauge giving a reading of the actual flow through the piece. A sleeve may be inserted into the piece B to vary the cross-sectional area of the passage. Specification 363,077 is referred to.
