Abstract

338,440. Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- N³rnberg Akt.-Ges. Sept. 6, 1929, [Convention date]. Mixers with circulating devices. - In a mixing- apparatus for acids &c., of the kind comprising a propeller mounted in a tube immersed in the liquid, the tube is suspended from above the level of the liquid and independently of the bearing for the propeller shaft, whereby the immersed parts may more readily be protectively coated with lead or rubber. The apparatus comprises a motor a supported on girders c, the base of the motor casing being provided with a projection e to which is secured a tubular member h having an internal flange i supporting a guide bearing k for the shaft l. The tube n through which the liquid is circulated is carried by bolts t from a distance member s secured to the member h. The shaft is provided with a deflecting plate w, and the member s carries a splash plate u with a depending past v.
