Driving, suspending, balancing.- A spinning centrifuge 3 or other rotary body is driven by a motor 1, the arrangement being such that at least one elastic member is interposed between the rotary body and the motor shaft 2. A slip coupling 4 is employed, and the upper member of the coupling is attached to the centrifuge 3, while a sleeve 5, for example of rubber, is on the shaft 2 in the hub so that detrimental vibrations are destroyed. The elastic member 5 may be arranged on the hub of the upper member of the coupling in which case the pot 3 is turned down over the hub. An elastic, layer 6 may be provided between the slipping surfaces of the coupling 4.
