Abstract

307,921. Tacke Maschinenfabrik Komm.-Ges., F. March 17, 1928, [Convention dale]. Flexible gear-wheels, for use when transmitting a drive through two or more intermediate shafts to a driven shaft aligned with the driving shaft, or in direct drives. Springs 18 bear upon radial projections 22 on the one-piece rim and upon aligned projections 16 forming the sides of a U-shaped one-piece member 14 secured by screws 15 to the hub member 11. A plate 23 maintains the parts in working position. Washers 25 of brass, copper, fibre, or other relatively soft material lie between the springs and the faces 19 of the projections, which faces are tangential to a circle, at the wheel centre, of diameter equal to the length of the springs when they are fully compressed, so that in that condition the springs engage parallel faces on the projections, side thrust being obviated.
