333,379. Bonner, W. G., and Bonner, F. C. Aug. 1, 1929. Locking by frictional devices. -A brake for perambulators &c. comprises a lever a adapted to engage a wheel tyre and an operating lever d both pivoted to a cranked strip b fixed to a longitudinal frame member c. The levers a, d are connected by a link f. A spring extending between the lever a and the fixed member b normally holds the end of the lever a away from the tyre, but when the lever d is moved to the left the lever a engages the tyre and the toggle formed by the link f and lever d moves past the dead centre position until a projection h on the link engages the lever, the parts being held in this position by the spring g.
