B o w d e n mechanism; levers, locking.-The handlever 10, to which the inner cable of a Bowden mechanism used for applying a band brake is attached, is provided with a spring plate 13 adapted to lock the lever in position with the brake fully applied by its engagement with a shoulder 14 on the fitting to which the lever is pivoted.
