Abstract
207,377. Raven, W. H. Nov. 25, 1922. Brake mechanism.-In brakes of the type in which the yoke D is connected by spring- controlled links C to fixed pivots A on the fork &c. B, each link is acted upon by a retracting- spring E, the inner end of which acts as a cottarpin to retain the link C on the pivot A. The outer end of the spring E is formed with a loop E<1>, Figs. 1 and 3, engaging a hollow pin D' on which the link is pivoted to the yoke D. A bolt F passing through the hollow pin D<1> retains the link C on its pivot and also secures the brake block G to the yoke.
