Circular - saw machines. - I n a machine for cutting bevel - ended bars from stock, two circular sams f, g at right angles and with their axes in one plane, are driven by oppositely - placed bevel wheels d, e, which engage pinions f<2>, g<2>, on the saw spindles, and are driven from a main shaft e through a sliding pinion n and a countershaft k carried by the sliding head b in which the saws are mounted. The head is traversed by a screw p rotated from the shaft o, or the table may be traversed beneath a fixed head. Suitable reversing gear for the drive of the shaft o and manual adjusting gear for the head may be fitted.
