283,936. Buxbaum, B. Jan. 20, 1927, [Convention date]. Circular-saw machines.-In a machine for cutting off bar stock by a saw or other tool, the stock is caused to slide by its own weight down a guide 2 up to an adjustable stop 5, the requisite inclination of the guide being obtained by adjusting the main block 14 about a pivot 22. The saw 11 is driven by a motor 7 mounted upon a table 12 which is racked upon a pivot 13 to effect the cut by means of cams 18, 19 engaging rollers (not shown) carried by the block 14. The table 12 also supports a spring work-gripping jaw 4, which presses the work during the cut against a fixed jaw 3 mounted an adjustable on the block 14. The guide may be provided with rollers, and the progress of the work therein may be assisted by a shaking action. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the inclination of the block 14 on its pivot may be altered progressively as the cutting proceeds. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
