Abstract
329,898. Best & Lloyd, Ltd., and Dodsworth, H. July 19, 1929. Oscillating disc valves; sliding valves.-An improved petrol &c. tap or cock comprises a body portion made from two parts a, beach containing a cork or like seating member c, the parts being disposed on opposite sides of a ported flat movable member h and secured together by screws, overlapping parts, or other convenient means. The movable valve member h slides or oscillates between the cork &c. seatings which may be pressed together by springs d acting through metal washers e. When the slide is adapted to oscillate, one end is notched, as at j, to form a kind of loose pivotal connection to the body part, as shown.
