Abstract

324,643. Higgins, M. F., and Nyborg, T. G. Oct. 29, 1928. Jigging conveyers-Material conveyed by a a jigging conveyer is delivered into tubs, &c. by an elevator comprising a trough 1 and an endless belt 2 of rubber, wire, mat &c. which is actuated by the jigging conveyer. The axle of the driving drum of the belt carries ratchets 7 which are engaged by pawls 6 mounted on drums 5, disposed one at each end of the axle. Each drum 5 is engaged by a pair of chains 9, the ends of which are attached to a stationary object. The trough 1 is pivoted at 4 to the jigging conveyer and is suspended by chains 10.
