Abstract

Pumps with oscillating and reciprocating cylinders. -A pump or motor comprises a member v, Figs. 1 and 2, carrying cylinders w, x, y, and mounted on an eccentric i. The pistons 11 have heads 12 slidably mounted in members 13 pivotally mounted in the fixed casing a. Each cylinder has on one side a flat face provided with a port 3 co-operating with inlet and outlet ports 5, 6, the ported members being held in contact by springs 18 and pressure liquid in recesses 20. The eccentric may be adjusted by means of axially-movable rods o having inclined projections n engaging inclined grooves m in a plate k fixed to the eccentric.
