Abstract

321,137. Desroziers, E. J. March 21, 1929. Clutches, friction.-In disc friction clutches, a flexible conical member 11 upon which the clutch springs 5 bear is attached by rivets 37 to one edge of the rigid slidable disc clutch member 14, the surface of contact between the members 11, 14 extending as the member 14 is pressed into engagement with the clutch member 15 secured to the driven shaft. The members 11, 14 slide upon bolts 2 carried on the driving flywheel 3. The invention is shown as applied to a clutch such as is described in Specification 287,523.
