Abstract

320,625. Appleby. J. A., and Wakefield & Co., Ltd., C. C. July 16, 1928. Direct air and gas pressure apparatus, non-automatic. - Lubricating-oil or other liquid contained in a drum 1 is fed by gravity to a measuring-vessel 3, and is forced from there by fluid pressure to a plurality of receiving-chambers 7, 70 at a higher level, the liquid being then dispensed by means of cocks 9, 90. The fluid under pressure is supplied by connections 10, 11 to the top of the vessel 3, cocks 12, 13 being provided for controlling the supply of fluid or opening the vessel 3 to atmosphere. A separate vessel 3 is preferably connected to each receiving-chamber 7, 70 by pipes 6, 60. Also the vessels 3 may be fed from separate drums, as by pipes 2, 20, and preferably with oil of different grades. The connection 110 is intended to supply fluid pressure to a second vessel 3 (not shown). Specifications 9358/08, 116,388, and 236,655 are referred to.
