Abstract

281,274. Sulzer FrÞres Soc. Anon. Nov. 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Air vessels.-In order to damp shocks set up in pipe lines by the sudden interruption of flow, the pipe line is provided with a device for automatically supplying additional liquid, and with an elastic buffer. The additional liquid may be supplied from a reservoir 2, Fig. 1, through a valve 5, and the buffer may consist of a spring- pressed piston 8 controlling escape apertures 10. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a form in which both functions are performed by an air vessel provided with a safety valve. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
